Application periods

The IF Foundation

The spring application period is currently closed, with the next opening on September 1.

Apotekarsocietetens Foundations

The application period is open from September 1 to October 31 and applies to activities starting no earlier than January 1 of the following year.

Priority criteria:

Preferably applicants affiliated with a Swedish university or actively involved in research, such as at government agencies or research institutes in Sweden.

Preferably doctoral students (this does not apply to scholarships for thesis projects or summer research).

Preferably members of Apotekarsocieteten.

Any previously awarded scholarships must be reported back on before a new scholarship can be granted.

What can you receive a scholarship for?

Participation in research courses and conferences

This is announced for participation in research courses, conferences, and similar events with a pharmaceutical focus, primarily for PhD students and postdoctoral researchers.

Note! No documents should be attached.

Your justification should be included in your application via your scholarship account in the external scholarship management system. Applications are processed and accepted only through this system.

Scholarships for thesis projects abroad

Scholarships for travel grants to enable degree projects abroad in the pharmaceutical field, totaling at least 30 ECTS credits during 2025.

Please note that scholarships can only be applied for travel expenses, not for accommodation or other costs.

The application must include:

• A certificate from the examiner at the home institution in Sweden
• A certificate from the host institution

The application, including all attachments, must be submitted digitally via your scholarship account in the external scholarship management system. Applications are processed and accepted only through this system.

Scholarships for Summer Research

Scholarships are available for undergraduate students who wish to work on a research project at an academic institution or company for 5–7 weeks during the summer of 2025.

These scholarships are intended for individuals who have not yet completed their degree or conducted a master’s thesis (i.e., those with fewer than 300 ECTS credits).

The awarded scholarships amount to 4,000 SEK per week for a period of 5–7 weeks

Application requirements:

• A signed project plan by both the supervisor and the student
• A personal letter including a motivation statement

The application, along with all required attachments, must be submitted via your scholarship account in the external scholarship management system. Applications are processed and accepted only through this system.
