FOREWORD BY THE CHAIRMAN OF THE SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE

Dear Friends of European Hospital Pharmacy,

“Person Centred Pharmacy – Navigating Digital Health” will be the theme for the presentations at the 2025 EAHP Congress, in Copenhagen. We will help you to see opportunities and limitations of the high-tech evolution in healthcare, and show you on how to deal with potential disinformation and patient expectations.

The 29th EAHP Congress will offer you inspiration to integrate new technology into your processes and services without losing the warm pharmacist’s touch in high-quality person-centred pharmacy. It will also not surprise you that these are the themes for our three keynote lectures.

Over 20 seminars and workshops will be presented with topics related to edutainment, challenges in paediatric medicines and parenteral nutrition, hospital@home, cleanroom technologies, the use of artificial intelligence in drug dosing and clinical pharmacy services, patients discharge, automation in dispensing and administration, social media for researchers, drug repurposing and the evolution of clinical trials. The pharmacotherapy seminar will focus on anticoagulation therapy in hospitals.

Along with keynotes and seminars, best practices will be disseminated by our abstract poster prize nominees and through the Good Practice Initiatives. In addition, workshops and interactive sessions within the theme of the congress will be given providing inspiration on aseptic handling, hospital pharmacy logistics and how to start your own research.

Based on the success, the Synergy Satellite programme is extended and will continue with many relevant topics. Also, an interactive Young Professionals Session will be organised as a panel discussion in order to share experience and expertise.
